This very simple pea soup is everything you need after a long day in the coldness of this world. It tastes fresh, which is an achievement considering it is made from frozen peas!

Ingredients for 5 servings

  • 500g frozen peas
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons marjoram
  • salt and pepper to taste

Optionally add

  • chili powder to taste

Steps

  1. Heat the oil in a pan over medium high heat and add your garlic, finely chopped.
  2. After the garlic has a some color, add the paprika powder.
  3. Do not cook the dry paprika for too long as it will become bitter.
  4. Quickly add the frozen peas and mix.
  5. Sauteé the peas for about a minute and then pour in boiling water.
  6. Bring to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes.
  7. Finish with the marjoram and season with salt and pepper to taste.
